Asscher Cut
The Asscher Cut was developed by the celebrated Dutch diamond cutter, Joseph Asscher in 1902. An octagonal step cut similar to the emerald cut in shape, it has 58 facets, giving it a lot more life than the latter. It was particularly popular in the Art Deco Period.
