Edwardian 18ct Gold & Platinum, Opal & Diamond Oval Cluster Ring

233Z
40 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

A lovely 18ct gold ring with a platinum top. It is in the form of a cluster with a cabochon cut opal in the centre surrounded by fourteen platinum rub over and claw set small diamonds. The lovely opal displays a myriad of colours, blue and green with red undertones. It was made circa 1900-1910 when opals were popular as they went very well with the fashions of the period such as lace and satins in pale ivory and soft shades of colour.

A beautiful ring that can be worn either as a dress ring or an engagement ring.
