A beautiful and impressive heavy gage 18ct gold “Gas Pipe” or “Tubo Gas” necklace. It was made in the 1930-1945 period when these classic collars were popular. The reason why this style is called Gas pipe is because of the old style gas pipes that were in existence before World War II. It is a flexible tubular collar that sits neatly and comfortably on the neck. This collar is particularly unusual in that it has a ridged design.
