Rare Find
This is one of the prettiest snake necklaces that we have ever come across. The articulated snake’s body clips in to the side of the snake’s head. The head has been enamelled in a lovely turquoise blue with engraved gold scroll motifs. There are six natural split pearls set in to his head and his eyes have been set with cabochon garnets. There is a heart shaped drop attached to his mouth that has been claw set with an old cushion cut diamond that weighs approximately one carat.
It was made circa 1860 and is 18ct gold.
