A highly ornate and beautifully designed heavy gage 18ct gold French necklace that was made circa 1890-1900. It typifies the “BelleÉpoque” era. “Belle Époque”literally means “Beautiful era” and is the name used for the period 1871-1914. It was a time of beauty and frivolity after the rigours of the Franco-Prussian war and ended with the onset of World War 1.
The charming use of roses, scrolls and bows with a twinkly diamond in the centre of the pendant and a natural pearl drop makes this necklace special and very wearable.
