Art Deco Jade, 15ct Gold & Diamond Pendant in Original Case from Spinks

A well presented jade pendant in its original case. The round polo cut jade is suspended by two 15ct gold chains and there is a pear shaped diamond rub over set in silver in between. Jade is an extremely hard stone and has long been prized in China since Neo-lithic times. Jade was prized for its hardness, durability, magical qualities, and beauty. In particular, its subtle, translucent colours and protective qualities caused it to become associated with Chinese conceptions of the soul and immortality.
