A very pretty small heart shaped pendant that was made circa 1880-1900. It features a white and yellow enamelled Ox-Eye daisy with green leaves. The border is rose diamonds in silver settings. The reverse is 15ct gold. At that time the Aesthetic movement was influencing many designs including jewellery. The movement was a reaction to the overblown high Victorian style. Instead flowers and plants and sunflowers were celebrated as in this example.
It would look lovely worn on a fine gold chain.
