			A most unusual late GeorgianJewellery made in the Georgian era (1714-1830). More 15ct62.5% pure gold (or 625 parts pure gold and 375 parts other metals). Popular during the Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco eras but was discontinued in the mid-1930s. More gold ring that was made circa 1820-1830. It has been enamelled in black with blue enamelA pigmented glass-like material used in powdered form and fused onto the metal surface of a piece of jewellery. More forget me nots around the quatrefoilA shape with four leaves or petals. More design and the words “In Memory Of” around the ornate shankThe circle of metal that attaches to the decorative part of a ring and encircles the finger. More. In the centre is a glazed compartment that may have held a lock of hair. Engraved on the inside is “Eliza Paterson died 28 March 1829. Not Lost but Gone Forever.” The unusual element in this ring is the heart shaped glazed locket on the inside at the back of the ring which is echoed on the outside with an enamelled heart.
