French Modernist 18ct Gold Ring set with a Large Yellow Sapphire, Sapphires & Diamonds

A very impressive 18ct gold ring that was made in the 1980s in France.  It has been double claw set with a large natural unheated yellow sapphire that weighs 9.33. carats. The sapphire originates from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) and is a wonderful saturated mid yellow colour. On either side are three marquise cut sapphires and a small diamond in a flower petal design.

When worn it is extremely decorative and looks incredible.
