Rare Find
An exceptional Art Deco brooch that is typical of the Art Deco period in its geometric style. It is platinum and has been set with graduated diamonds in a sunburst design. The largest early brilliant cut diamond has an approximate weight of one carat and is a pale yellow colour. It has been specially chosen to represent the centre of the sun. The sunburst motif, characterised by radiating lines from a central point, is a common decorative element in Art Deco design. It symbolises energy and dynamism.
This brooch is extraordinary because it is huge and has fourteen carats of diamonds. It is accompanied by a gemmological certificate.
