Rare Find
Mickey Mouse is an American cartoon character co-created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. The longtime icon and mascot of the Walt Disney Company, Mickey is an anthropomorphic mouse who typically wears red shorts, large shoes, and white gloves.
Many representations of Mickey have appeared over the years. This lovely 18ct gold brooch is well modelled and has been enamelled in black. He also has small rose diamond eyes. He was made in 1930 by Charles Horner who was a well known and respected jeweller. It has the assay mark for the Chester office and has been engraved on the back “19th September 1930”.
