Victorian 18ct Gold & Black Enamel Mourning Ring

252W
40 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

A smart 18ct gold mourning ring that was assayed in London in 1897. It is in the style of earlier mourning rings with black enamel and engraved leaf detail with the words “In Memory of” around the band. The raised repousse edges have a floral motif which harks back to the earlier Georgian period. It is in wonderful condition.

This ring cannot be sized.
