French Platinum, French Cut Sapphires & Diamond Bombé Ring

An amazing ring with great attention to design and detail that was made circa 1930-1945. This style of ring is known as a Cocktail ring. It is platinum and iridium. Iridium is a very hard, brittle, silvery-white transition metal of the platinum group. It is a layered look with a curved section across the middle set with calibre cut diamonds. There are French cut sapphires on either side of the centre line of diamonds. There is also millgrain detail that adds to the overall look of this ring. It is signed Louis Fried.
