Early 20th Century 18ct Gold & Platinum, Oval Cluster Ring set with Diamonds

227W
40 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual 18ct gold ring with a platinum top that was made circa 1910-1920. It is an open work design. The centre oval motif has been set with a twenty point transition cut diamond with three smaller diamonds above and below. Around it are small diamonds within rub over settings in an oval millgrained frame set with small rose diamonds. The shoulders have a small rose diamond set in to each shoulder. It is a delicate and very pretty look and sits low on the finger so it is a practical ring to wear.  It would make a lovely engagement or dress ring.
