Early 20th Century 14ct Gold, Emerald & Diamond Crossover Ring

7Y
80 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

A very pretty 14ct gold ring that was made circa 1900-1910 and is most likely of German origin. It has been set with an emerald with a diamond on either side in a cross over design. There are further small diamonds set in to each of the shoulders. At that time the influence of the Art Nouveau style was manifesting itself in furniture and textiles. Jewellery also adopted the sinuous style that was typical of the period.

This ring is a good example and would make a lovely engagement ring.
