Early 19th Century Round Locket with Turquoise Forget Me Not Motif

A sweet 15ct gold back and front locket that was made circa 1830. On the front is a “forget me not” set with turquoise that further accentuates the meaning. When opened there is a glazed compartment with hair beneath. Secret messages using flowers and stones were often given to remember loved ones. The glass is broken so this and the hair can easily be removed if wanted.
