Art Deco 18ct Gold & Platinum, Emerald & Diamond Ring with Diamond Set Shoulders

Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual Art Deco 18ct gold and platinum ring that was made circa 1920. It has been claw set with two square cut emeralds with a claw set scissor cut diamond in the centre. This cut dates back to the 16th century and is composed of elongated slender facets that intersect diagonally. This creates a criss cross pattern that resembles scissor blades. On either side set in to the shoulders are three small diamonds.

A perfect engagement ring.
