Written by Olly Gerrish

A fine quality 18ct gold brooch that was made circa 1860-1880 in Limoges, France.   It is 18ct gold with silver settings for the rose diamonds.  In the centre is an enamelled portrait of a ladies head in national dress within a plain gold frame.  On either side are blue, red and green enamel sections with white enamel detail within gold borders. At either end is a natural pearl.

It is like a miniature work of art.
