1950’s 18ct White Gold Ballerina Ring set with a Topaz & Diamonds

Written by Olly Gerrish

An impressive 18ct white gold ring that was made in the 1950s. This style is known as a ballerina ring because of the tutu design. Ballerina clusters were first seen in the 1950s. Their creation involved meticulous precision and exactness in the cutting and setting of the gemstones to lie perfectly next to each other in order to achieve the movement of a ballerina. In the centre is a claw set topaz that weighs just over three quarters of a carat.  Around it is a mixture of baguette cut and round diamonds in a wavy design with a total estimated weight of  just under one carat.

It looks really fantastic when worn.
