Rare Find
A fine tortoiseshell necklace that has been delicately inlaid with silver and gold flowers. This work is known as pique and was perfected in the Victorian era. The tortoiseshell was heated and the metals pressed in and allowed to cool under light pressure.
The necklace is in lovely condition and has a secure box clasp.
It looks stunning when worn.

So often these pique necklaces have been split up to make pairs of earrings etc, so it now rare to find a complete original necklace such as this example.
