Rare Find
A beautifully modelled dove set with rubies, emeralds and rose cut diamonds. It is known as a Saint Esprit that translates as the Holy Ghost and is a dove shaped religious symbol. St Esprit jewels were popular in the late eighteenth century as religious icons. They were particularly popular in France but there are English examples and this is one of them. It was made circa 1840-1860.
