This necklace is very stylish and was made by the Norwegian firm, Andresen & Scheinflug. Jens Ingvald Andresen 1901-1974 was an apprentice at the workshop to Hjortdahl & Meldahl from 1915 to 1919. He stayed with the firm until 1931 when Meldahl left to form his own company. Andresen followed Meldahl & continued to work for him until 1936. In 1936 Andresen co-founded a separate silver & enamel workshop and called it Andresen & Scheinpflug in Oslo. This necklace is gilded silver and is composed of seven stylised white enamel tulips. It is a lovely example of Andresen & Scheinflugs work and was made in the 1940s.
