Free UAE ShippingThis is a spectacular Georgian brooch that was made circa 1800-1820. During the Georgian Era a new trend emerged in France, “Bagues au Firmament”, or Rings of the Heavens. These rings featured blue enamel or glass representing the night sky with diamond sparkling stars. Marie Antoinette was said to always wear a Bague au Firmament ring. Other jewels to represent the Heavens were made and this is a Firmament brooch. It has been set with three sparkling pinched collet set old mine cut diamonds within a ring of white enamel around each one. Smaller stars and crescents are dotted all over the blue and white enamel background within a gold incised border.
A rare and stunning brooch that is a collector’s piece.
