Rare Find
A gorgeous pair of 9ct gold Georgian earrings that were made circa 1820. Each earring has been cut down collet set with a pear shaped foil backed green paste and a rectangular cut green paste. Around each of the pastes are natural split pearls. The domed backs are 9ct gold. Emeralds were incredibly expensive in the Georgian period so paste was often used as an alternative. Paste is technically hard flint glass and is collectable in its own right.
These earrings are in wonderful condition.
