An unusual 18ct gold ring that was assayed in 1882 in Chester. It was made by Barnett Henry Joseph. BHJ was a well known firm of jewellery makers who made good quality jewellery. It has been claw set with three well matched cabochon opals. In between are claw set diamonds in a criss cross design.
