A stunning 18ct gold locket that was made in the 1880s. It has been set with a natural split pearl with a blue enamelled star around it. Engraved around the edge are stylised ivy leaves. The literal meaning is that “You are an eternal star” and the ivy leaves signify “Cling to me”. Inside are two compartments that contain locks of hair tied with gold wire and seed pearls. These can be removed if wished.
