Victorian 18ct Gold, Three Stone Opal Ring with Diamonds in Between

516U
80 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

A beautiful three stone opal ring that was made circa 1890-1900 in Birmingham.  It has been claw set with three well matched opals that display flashes of green and blue with red undertones. In between are bright white old mine cut diamonds.  Opals have a lovely traditional meaning of hope, purity and truth, so they were often given as wedding presents in the Victorian and Edwardian periods.

If you love opals then this ring is a lovely example and in great condition.
