Victorian 18ct Gold, Ruby & Diamond Five Stone Ring

826R
Written by Olly Gerrish

A good looking 18ct gold ring that was made in Birmingham in 1898. It has been claw set with three well matched rubies that are most likely of Burmese origin as they are a lovely pigeon blood red colour. In between the rubies are claw set old mine cut diamonds. There are further small rose diamond points, as they are called, above and below the main stones. This was a Victorian invention and serves to give the ring a good line on both sides. A lovely engagement ring or Ruby wedding anniversary ring.
