Victorian 18ct Gold, Green Enamel & Diamond Pendant in Original Case

250W
Written by Olly Gerrish

A beautiful mid Victorian pendant that was made circa 1860-1880 in the Holbeinesque Revival period.  At that time rich colours were popular and items of jewellery were enamelled in forrest green as seen on this pendant. Cabochon garnets were often used to contrast with the enamel but also old mine cut diamonds. The design is a wonderful swirl set with graduated diamonds with further diamonds above and securing the bow. On the reverse is a glazed locket. It comes in the original case that was retailed by Barford Bros (Brothers) Based in Hove, Brighton.
