Find Out MoreA good looking 18ct gold ring that was made circa 1880-1900. It has been claw set with two well matched claw set rubies that are most likely of Burmese origin as they are a lovely pigeon blood red colour. On either side of the rubies are three claw set old mine cut diamonds. There are further small rose diamond points, as they are called, above and below the main stones. This was a Victorian invention that continued in to the twentieth century and serves to give the ring a good line on both sides. The shank is called a carved half hoop because of the attractive scroll decoration on either side.
