Victorian 15ct Gold Cluster Ring set with a Cabochon Cat’s Eye Chrysoberyl & Diamonds

133X

Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual 18ct gold ring that was made circa 1880-1900. It has been claw set with an oval cabochon cat’s eye chrysoberyl which has a definite white and green edged line across the middle. Natural cat’s eye chrysoberyl is an expensive stone and is a stone of good fortune. It is said to bring serenity and happiness, along with optimism and generosity, creativity and kindness. It is also a stone of protection against the evil eye! It is surrounded by a mixture of claw set old mine cut and rose cut diamonds.

It would make a lovely engagement or dress ring.
