Georgian Pair of Silver & Flat Cut Almandine Garnet Buckles in original Case

810S
40 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

A well presented pair of Georgian buckles that have been converted at a later date to brooches. They were then retailed by Edward Tessier and come in a Morocco leather on wood case with gold tooled work and silk interior. The buckles are fine examples of late Georgian workmanship, circa 1820. They have been set with individually cut almandine garnets that are foiled to the reverse creating a wonderful rich glimmer. They are silver with gold pins.
