Book Your Virtual ConsultationAn unusual 15ct gold and silver Giardinetti ring that has been set in silver settings with rose diamonds, emeralds & rubies. The basket has been enamelled in strawberry red enamel. The name Giardinetti comes from the Italian word for “Little gardens” and the naturalistic style first appeared towards the end of the 17th century. It gathered popularity in the 18th century onwards. This ring dates from around 1820 and is composed of an openwork foliate cluster. The original shank continues the floral theme with entwined stems and the reverse has been engraved with a basket of flowers.
It would originally have been given as a token of love.
A beautiful ring to wear with care.
