Almandine garnets are a charming purplish red colour and were used a lot in the Georgian period. The garnets have been foiled to the reverse of the stones that adds luminescence to the overall look of the ring. It is 9ct37.5% pure gold (or 375 parts pure gold and 625 parts other metals) More gold and the garnets have been set in silverA metallic element which is malleable and ductile, and white in colour, making it ideal for use in jewellery. It is usually mixed with copper to improve its hardness.
