Georgian Five Stone Diamond Ring

666U
401 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual ring that was made circa 1820-1830. It has been set with five elongated old mine cut diamonds within rub over silver settings. The diamonds are closed backed and are foiled to the reverse so they appear to be really translucent. They are very well matched stones. The ring curves nicely around the finger and sits low. Care must be taken when wearing it as it should not be immersed in water as this could affect the foiling.
