Rare Find
A large 15 carat gold cross set with natural split pearls, turquoise, and five large pink topazes in closed foil backed settings. The highly ornate gold decoration is in the cannetille technique, which was fashionable in England from 1790-1830. This magnificent cross is English in origin and dates from circa 1820. The gold work is in pristine condition. On the reverse is a glazed locket with a braided lock of hair.
