French Art Deco Platinum Fan Shaped Earrings set with Sapphires & Diamonds

A wonderful pair of French platinum earrings that were made circa 1920-1935. Fan shapes were popular in the Art Deco period as they were geometric futuristic forms that defined the era. This pair of earrings have been set with diamonds and sapphires but what is wonderful about these earrings are the different cuts used in the design. It has both square and round cuts, as well as, rose cuts and calibre cut. It has an impressive approximate total of 4.40 carats of diamonds and 0.70 carats of sapphires for both earrings.

There is millgraine detail throughout which give the earrings a sense of lightness. They are beautifully finished at the back. An old jeweller friend of mine once told me to always look at the back of a piece of jewellery. If it is well finished then it is a top quality job. They are very comfortable to wear and look “FAN” tastic when worn!
