177Y
80 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

A beautiful 18ct gold open coiled snake ring that can can be worn by either sex. It was made in France circa 1930-1945. Snake designs in jewellery were really popular from the Georgian period onwards. The snake motif represented “Eternal love and wisdom”, so pieces such as this ring would have been a gift from an admirer. This snake has an emerald set in to his head and diamond set eyes and diamonds around his head with engraved detail on the top of his body.
