Edwardian 18ct Gold Wedding Ring with Orange Blossom & Ivy Leaf Detail

737Y
Written by Olly Gerrish

An 18ct gold wide wedding band that was assayed in Birmingham in 1911. The ornate wedding bands that were made in the early 1900s are so unusual and highly decorative to wear.  This wedding band is a particularly lovely example with a continuous motif of orange blossoms and ivy leaves all around the shank.  The orange blossom symbolises innocence, purity, virtue, good luck and fertility and the ivy leaves symbolise “Cling to me”.

It is in excellent condition.
