Edwardian 18ct Gold Snake Ring set with a Diamond & Cabochon Ruby Eyes

673Y
Written by Olly Gerrish

A very special 18ct gold snake ring that wraps around the finger in a sinuous way. It was made circa 1900-1910 when snakes were particularly popular. His head has been set with an old mine cut diamond and his eyes have been set with tiny cabochon cut rubies.

The snake was often used in antique jewellery and symbolises eternal love, so it is a lovely sentiment to wear on one’s finger either as an engagement ring or a dress ring.
