Edwardian 18ct Gold Lover’s Knot Ring

61Y
100 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

Knot rings have a charming meaning and this fine heavy gauge 18ct gold example is no exception. It was assayed in London in 1919 and would have been given as a token of love between two people as the two knots intertwine. One part of the knot is a floral repousse motif, the other is plain, further emphasising the male and female link.

It is as wearable now as it was over one hundred years ago
