Edwardian 18ct Gold Blue & White Enamel Ring with a Diamond in the Centre

690U
40 Admirers Rare Find
Written by Olly Gerrish

This is a sweet ring in very good condition that was made circa 1900-1910. It has been enamelled in Royal blue enamel with a white enamel border. The enamel is translucent with an engraved sun ray motif beneath. In the centre is a pinched collet set old mine cut diamond.  The simple 18ct gold band is reminiscent of Georgian bands. This is because there was a Georgian revival in the early 1900s. It sits low on the finger so it is a practical ring to wear as it will not catch on anything.
