Early 20th Century French Diamond Cluster Ring

532Y
40 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

A beautiful 18ct gold French ring that was made circa 1880-1900. It has a horse head poincon mark for 18ct gold for items that were produced between 1838-1919 in France.  It has been set with a lovely old mine cut diamond that has an approximate weight of a fraction under half a carat. Around it on a lower level are eight smaller old mine cut diamonds. The total approximate weight is 1.29 carats.  All the diamonds are well matched bright white stones. The shank is a generous wide band that tapers to the top of the cluster.

It. would make a perfect engagement ring.
