415X
80 Admirers
Written by Olly Gerrish

This is a wonderful and beautifully modelled 18ct white gold brooch of an elephant that was made circa 1910-1920. It has been set with graduated transition cut diamonds. Elephants hold significant meaning in many cultures and symbols of these majestic creatures have been depicted in mythology and religion for thousands of years. They represent strength and power. They also symbolise sensitivity, wisdom, stability, loyalty, intelligence, peace, reliability and determination, which are all seen in the animal’s nature when observed in the wild.
