Early 20th Century 18ct Gold Ring set with a Yellow Sapphire

Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual and beautiful 18ct gold ring that was made circa 1920. It has been claw set with a large natural unheated cushion cut yellow sapphire that has a weight of 8.50 carats. Yellow sapphires symbolise abundance and prosperity. They are also well known as a source of wisdom and protection from harm and are a great alternative to a yellow diamond and cheaper too!

A lovely ring to wear as an engagement or dress ring.
