Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual 15ct gold ring that has been set in a Roman setting with a piece of brown jasper that has an intaglio of a female lion rampant with her foot placed on the top of a shield with a lion’s head on it. It was made circa 1830-1840. The shank has ornate scroll work where it meets the top. A lovely ring to wear
