A beautiful 15ct gold brooch that was made circa 1900-1910 in the Art Nouveau period. It features an enamelled iris within a decorative gold motif. The sweeping graceful petals of the iris made it a popular motif for the sinuous, nature inspired motifs that were used in the Art Nouveau era. The purple iris denotes wisdom. It has also been rub over set with a ruby that stands for “Love”.
A gorgeous brooch to give to someone that you admire and love.
