Art Deco Rose Diamond, Turquoise, Natural Pearl & Amazonite Drop Earrings by Liberty in Original Case

333R
Written by Olly Gerrish

An unusual pair of earrings that were retailed by Liberty circa 1900-1910. They are a lovely combination of a rose diamond at the top followed by a natural pearl then a turquoise bead, another natural pearl and the long amazonite drop. At the time these earrings were made there were archaeological digs in Egypt and a number of objects carved from green amazonite were found with the treasures of Tutankhamen. So it became fashionable to use this unusual stone in jewellery. They are in the original fitted case that has the Liberty stamp on the silk interior.
