Written by Olly Gerrish

An impressive pair of 18ct white gold rectangular green tourmaline earrings that were made circa 1950 and are typical of that era. The green emerald cut tourmalines are a beautiful colour and are very well matched stones. They weigh approximately 9.17 carats each. On either side of the claw set tourmalines are stylises diamond set leaves. Green Tourmaline attracts luck, success, abundance and prosperity. It inspires creativity, and may be used to project, create and manifest one’s goals. It apparently also promotes courage, strength and stamina. Tourmaline is given to celebrate the eighth wedding anniversary and is the birthstone for the month of october so there are plenty of meanings attached to this beautiful stone. They have post and scroll fittings with a special design on the scrolls that keep the earring firmly on the ear!
