1950’s 18ct Gold Rectangular Cut Green Tourmaline & Diamond Ring

Written by Olly Gerrish

A great looking 18ct yellow gold ring that was made in the 1950s.  It has been claw set with a beautiful step cut green tourmaline with five claw set small diamonds on either side in stepped down white gold settings. The tourmaline is a fabulous deep green that catches the light revealing the depths of its rich colour, and it weighs just under six and a half carats. Green tourmaline attracts luck, success, abundance and prosperity. It inspires creativity, and may be used to project, create and manifest one’s goals. It apparently also promotes courage, strength and stamina.

Tourmaline is given to celebrate the eighth wedding anniversary and is the birthstone for the month of October so there are plenty of meanings attached to this beautiful stone.
